The Blacklist season 5 episode 21 spoilers: Is someone selling the bones?

Moving into The Blacklist season 5 episode 21 on NBC, one thing feels pretty darn clear: The duffel bag of bones is still a pretty big factor in the story at this point. Even if the Ian Garvey arc may be done, there are some other issues and drama that still remain. We’re going to see a lot of this play out within this story as Reddington is still struggling to get the duffel bag into his own possession. He knows that the moment this all comes out that his operation likely falls apart, and the same goes for whatever relationship he has with Liz.

“Laurence Dean Devlin” is the title for the aforementioned episode, which is going to be the penultimate one of the season. Take a look at the synopsis below for a little more information as to what’s coming:

05/09/2018 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : When Samar (Mozhan Marnò) lands in the crosshairs of an unconventional Blacklister, Aram (Amir Arison) and the Task Force spring into action to find her before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Red (James Spader) journeys to Costa Rica to prevent the duffel bag of bones from being sold to the highest bidder at an underground auction. Bob Gunton and Michael Aronov guest star.

Isn’t it nice to have a big Aram/Samar episode so close to the end of the season? This story should prove to be a great opportunity to explore what’s happening with their relationship, and also the fullest extent of Aram’s training since it could put him to the test. Hopefully, nothing happens to Samar since we like to think that some people on the Task Force can have happiness in their personal lives. We know that there’s some uncertainty with Samar and Aram after she returned his ring, but we don’t think their story is over yet. (We’re certainly hoping things get better than where they were on this past episode.)

As for Reddington’s story, doesn’t it really speak for itself at this point? The one question that we’re still left to wonder is whether or not Liz / someone else of note is working against him in an effort to ensure that the duffel bag lands in their possession instead.
