Ransom season 2 episode 2 preview: A look ahead at ‘Alters’

Want to know what’s coming up on Ransom season 2 episode 2 airing on CBS next week? Based on the information that is out there, it’s pretty clear that you’ve got a lot to look forward to. The title here is “Alters” and all early indications suggest right now that this is going to be a pretty fascinating (and pretty intense) hour of TV where you see Eric and Zara finding that they basically have to save themselves. Typically, we know Eric as the master of negotiating for the release of others. This is a chance to see the tables turn! This is certainly a trope that many crime shows have utilized over the years, but there’s something about it being done within this world that could be especially effective because of the danger of it all.

Also, Ransom certainly has a different sort of team working on it than the standard CBS show (after all, it’s really more of a Global show in Canada); they’re going to bring their own unique flavor to the proceedings.

“Alters” – As Eric and Zara provide risk assessment services at an investment bank, they are taken hostage by a gunman targeting a low-level accountant, and Eric must negotiate for their release, on RANSOM, Saturday, April 14(8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Now that you know the setting and some of the stakes for what’s coming. The table is set, and it’s now up to the writers and producers to see if they can deliver an episode that pushes Ransom to yet another level.

It’s in this spot now that we would talk about the latest Ransom ratings, and that’s precisely what we will do for the remainder of the season. However, because those are not online as of yet we have to cast our focuses specifically into what we hope to see for the show this year. As we reported recently, so long as it generates a 0.4 or 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic, it has a shot at coming back to CBS for a season 3. This is what the show generated for some of season 1 and because of the timeslot, the expectations are not altogether high.
