Lucifer season 3: Four things we want to see before finale

Lucifer season 3 episode 14

There are still four more episodes of Lucifer season 3 coming before we get around to the finale, and with that, CarterMatt has four more things we want to see as some of the story winds down. With there being no new episode airing tonight, this feels like the right time to dive into some of this speculation.

1. Lucifer confessing the truth to Chloe – We understand that this could be the perfect sort of finale cliffhanger to effectively bookend the entire season, but we personally would like an episode or two to sift through the aftermath of whatever comes following said confession.

2. A buildup to a final showdown with Cain – This feels like the perfect thing to save for the finale, but as of right now we don’t think that things are intense enough yet for the showdown to have weight. There needs to be full-on rage on many sides and for “Marcus” to have much of his world start to crumble. These sort of showdowns really are the best when all parties involved have something substantial to lose.

3. Maze making a decision – Is she going to return to Hell or be content with staying on Earth itself? She probably needs to figure that out before the end of the season in order for this season to be truly effective. Lucifer needs to learn whether or not he can rely on Maze or whether or not she will be an adversary. You don’t want there to be too many things going on in the last episode and having some more insight on her headspace would be useful.

4. More Dan – In general, the Dan character really hasn’t had enough going on as of late and it feels like the next few episodes are a chance to give him a little more story before the finale rolls around. That way, we do have a better chance to understand what his own role will be. Also, more screen time with Dan and Charlotte after some of the fun we’ve had with them the past two seasons.
