For this edition of TV Madness, we have made it to the FINAL FOUR. What a fun journey this has been! We’ve already seen tens of thousands of votes cast and we’re getting the field narrowed down to a small crop of very deserving shows — some are favorites whereas others are underdogs. The battle today between Outlander and The Brave is going to be a pretty interesting one — we’ve got the returning champion facing off against an underdog that has already managed to dethrone some other favorites, including a #1 seed. This could be one of the most exciting matches of the entire tournament so far.
Now that we’ve set the stage, let’s get to breaking down these entries further. Voting for this round remains open until Wednesday, March 28 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. Later that same day, the finals will officially begin.
Outlander (#1 seed) – So far, the reigning champion has easily dominated much of its opposition, taking out the likes of Chicago Med, NCIS: Los Angeles, and MacGyver in pretty much a landslide fashion. We know that Outlander fans are some of the most devoted and passionate out there, and this show may need some of this passion if it wants to make it to the final round yet again. In terms of total votes so far in the tournament, it is facing off against what is easily its biggest competition to date.
The Brave (#7 seed) – It ended the competition as an underdog; then, it became a powerhouse. It managed to overtake a super-popular show in Vikings in the first round and then following that, did battle with another fan favorite in Shadowhunters. Then, it managed to survive a fairly-intense battle with #1 seed The Blacklist, emerging as champion with the difference of just a few hundred votes. The Brave fans have certainly shown in this tournament why they deserve another season on the air. Now, they have a chance to go for all the glory.
