Suits season 8 spoilers: Amanda Schull promoted to regular as Katrina Bennett
Schull plays the character of Katrina Bennett, who is now back at the firm as a junior partner and has long been a recurring presence on the show. She’s a formidable character who is exceptionally smart, and it took a lot to get her over to Pearson Specter Litt in the first place. Thanks in part to the conclusion of 12 Monkeys, USA was able to bring Schull officially on board and we are more than excited to see what comes along with that.
In a new statement, show executive producer Aaron Korsh had the following to say about the new hire:
“Amanda Schull and Katrina Bennett have been a part of the Suits extended family for years and I am very excited to welcome them both into our immediate family … Katrina will continue her journey on the road to senior partnership while learning some hard new lessons throughout the course of the season.”
Schull is joining a roster that includes returning regulars Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, and Rick Hoffman to go alongside the recently-promoted Dule Hill and series newcomer Katherine Heigl. With adding more Katrina to the mix, the series seems to be doing the smart thing in trying to build up the series from within and immerse even more characters into the world. We know that at some point over the final six episodes of this season (which start airing in one week’s time on March 28), you will have a chance to see more of Abigail Spencer as Dana Scott a.k.a. Scottie.
