Young & Hungry season 5 episode 11 return date revealed; two-hour series finale coming

For those of you who have been eager to learn the Young & Hungry season 5 episode 11 return date over at Freeform CarterMatt finally has some good news to hand down. Today, the network confirmed that they will be airing the remaining ten episodes (finally) of the season starting on Wednesday, June 20 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.

To go along with this news, Freeform also released a synopsis for some of what could be coming up for the series:

“Gabi and Josh [are] finally together and in love, but now navigating their new status as a full-fledged couple. Meanwhile, the rest of Josh’s staff, Yolanda and Elliot, are grappling with the change in work dynamic with Gabi as the ‘woman of the house.’ Sofia, Gabi’s best friend, who begins to feel like a third wheel with the new couple, sets out on her own path to find love.”

There is a little bit of additional good news that we can report on here in that Freeform has officially also ordered a two-hour movie that will help to tie things up. We’ve given this network (and ABC Family before it) a little bit of flack over the years for not wrapping up stories and canceling shows, but we will give them some praise here in between what they are doing with this show and also The Fosters. They are effectively allowing all of these different series the chance to actually have a fitting conclusion and with that, are making a show of goodwill to the fans in that they will do everything within their power to ensure that stories have proper endings to them. It’s too early to know just when this two-hour finale will air, but CarterMatt will have that information for you as soon as it’s available.
