Blue Bloods season 8 episode 17 spoilers: Kevin Dillon returns

Even though Amy Carlson may be gone from Blue Bloods, that is not stopping Linda’s brother on the show from coming back. Kevin Dillon will return as Danny’s brother-in-law Jimmy for the upcoming March 30 episode entitled “Close Calls,” and given his history it really shouldn’t be all that much of a shock to anyone out there that there is some tension that forms before long between this character and Danny Reagan. Jimmy’s got a history of causing problems and in this instance, Danny may have to come through in order to bail him you.

Below, the Blue Bloods season 8 episode 17 synopsis offers up a little more in the way of insight into just what is going to be coming up:

“Close Calls” – After Danny’s brother-in-law, Jimmy (Kevin Dillon), gets caught up with the mob and steals Danny’s credit card, Danny forces Jimmy to take down the mobsters with Baez’s help. Also, Frank has Erin and Anthony investigate if his old partner, Lenny (Treat Williams), is truly guilty of a crime and Jamie is approached by Tariq (Rene Ifrah), an officer who wants his help getting reassigned from his undercover assignment at a mosque, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, March 30 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

We appreciate the opportunity to see Dillon in this episode for a number of different reasons, with one of the biggest reasons being that it’s going to be rather nice to get a chance to see Linda mentioned and referenced on the show again. That is certainly good for the sake of us getting a chance to get to know his relationship with his sister, and also seeing what the relationship between Jimmy and Danny will be like now.

Beyond that, isn’t it also nice to see Treat Williams on the show again? We just hope that Lenny isn’t actually guilty of anything given what we just went through on the show this past episode with Anthony.
