Is the Gotham season 4 finale title alluding to major comic-book event?
According to ComicBook.com, the title for this upcoming episode is “No Man’s Land.” If you are familiar with some of the Batman comics that are out there, you may realize why there is a special significance to this name. “No Man’s Land” is an especially notable arc within the comics where Gotham was struck by a giant earthquake, one that left most of the residents of the city to deal with a very high degree of chaos. For those who do love the series when it is crazy and all sorts of intense, there’s a pretty good chance that you will like this.
There are also many reasons right now to be worried for many of the different characters on the series as a result of an event like this. Anytime that there is a big disaster, whether it be in real life or fiction, one of the things that inevitably does come out of it is a sense of panic. People have to put other problems aside in order to focus on themselves. That does mean, in turn, that it’s possible that someone could forget about some of the villains in Gotham and they could take advantage of this opportunity to seize a little bit of power. If there’s one thing that we have come to learn about them over time, it is that they are not going to be even remotely afraid of something like an earthquake … provided that this is what happens.

While the earthquake storyline is not confirmed as of right now, it feels difficult to think that producers would choose to name the finale “No Man’s Land” clearly knowing the history of the comics. The one thing that is interesting about this above all else is that despite there being so many different things that happen in Gotham because of the actions of men and women, this is a catastrophe completely out of everyone’s control. This is why it introduces some fascinating new dynamics.
