Big Brother Canada 6 pre-game interview: Meet Hamza Hatoum from Thunder Bay

Hamza Hatoum

Welcome to our Big Brother Canada 6 pre-game interview series! We recently had a chance to speak with the houseguests leading up to the start of this new season, premiering on Global on March 7, as we’ve done years in the past. The goal this year was to find out a little bit about these players strategically, but also a little more about them as people. We want to know why they’re going to be interesting personalities to watch over the coming months and where they are coming from.

If you want to get some other Big Brother Canada pre-game interviews, you can do so by visiting this link.

In this article, the focus is on Hamza Hatoum, a man who helps to run a Lebanese restaurant, plays soccer, and is very confident about himself and doesn’t see that as a problem.

Is it? Take a look at the pre-game interview below.

CarterMatt – Tell me about yourself — your name, your age, and where you’re from.

Hamza Hatoum – My name is Hamza, I’m 27 years old, and I’m from Thunder Bay, Ontario.

What do you do for a living?

I’m a soccer coach and we also own a Lebanese restaurant — best food you’ll ever had. You’ll have to come to Thunder Bay to experience it.

What made you want to be on Big Brother Canada this season?

Lots of things. First of all, I want to win some money. Second of all, I want to stir s–t up. Third of all, why not?

Are you a fan of the show?

Yeah, I’m a casual fan.

What’s your strategy for winning this season?

I don’t have a strategy. I’m just going to go in and wing it just like I do everything in life. I’ll hope for the best and I’m going to win every competition. That’s my strategy.

Who are you most like from past Big Brother seasons, US or Canada?

You know what? No. There’s only one Hamza.

What’s the one part of your life at home you’re going to miss the most in the game?

Not being able to communicate with my family and my fiancee. Also, not being able to watch soccer.

Who is your biggest idol in life and why?

Cristiano Ronaldo, because I like soccer and I love Real Madrid.

How are you going to keep live feed viewers at home entertained?

I’m gonna mess with everyone’s food, I hope I’m going to get picked for every challenge so I can stir s–t up, and I’m just going to have fun with everyone there. I’m going to mess around with everybody — I’m not going to make their stay very pleasant.

Besides the money, what are you hoping to get out of this season?

I just want to show people that it’s okay to be overly confident and a little bit cocky but also have a humble side and show that you can still be a real human being.

First Impressions

Hamza is probably going to have a chance to spend April Fools’ stirring s–t back up at home because there’s almost no chance he’s still in the game by then. He doesn’t know the show that well and he’s going to make himself an enormous threat. He may win an HoH or Veto early but that’s probably it.
