Falling Water season 2 episode 9 preview; latest ratings

Falling Water season 2 episode 9 will be airing on USA in one week’s time, and with that we’re absolutely in the home stretch of the series. The team is entering this part of the story with a pretty clear objective, and that is doing everything that they can in order to both stop Taylor Bennett and also track down Shadowman. The story is fairly clear, but the ways in which the team will achieve the goals are not so much. Part of the fun of this season is more than likely going to be connecting point A to point B.

Below, the Falling Water season 2 episode 9 synopsis offers up a little bit more insight in terms of what is coming up next:

The team sets up a sting to catch Taylor Bennett and her buyer. Taka and Alex hound Shadowman’s daughter, hoping she’ll lead them to him.

By the end of this episode we are hoping that there will be some sort of foundation set for the finale and with that, there are some signs as to how this story will end.

The state of the latest ratings

We hope that there is a strong end to Falling Water season 2 given that on the other side of the finale, there may not be much hope that the series keeps going. This season is buried in a difficult timeslot and it’s hard to see just how its ratings are going to improve over the next two weeks.

If there is some good news for Falling Water, it is that the show is coming off of its best ratings of the season. Last week’s installment drew almost 470,000 viewers, which is especially solid given the Olympics airing as competition. Still, its numbers are down more than 10% both in viewers and in the demo from season 1 … and they weren’t that great in season 1. Let’s be clear — it would be great if there was more Falling Water. The way that it’s being handled this season just doesn’t offer up much hope.
