Famous in Love season 2 premiere details: A time jump, Freeform questions, more

The Famous in Love season 2 premiere is not until April 4, and with that in mind you’ve got a while to wait to see just what is coming up for some of these characters. It’s an interesting show just on the basis of concept — young fame is obviously prevalent these days on social media, but the story here views it through a lens that is a little bit different. Paige is someone who, in the first season, experienced pretty instant fame. Moving into season 2, she has to cope with that more and try to understand it. That’s not going to be altogether easy.

There are two episodes airing on one night when the show returns, and with that, there is going to be a lot of drama to touch on. There’s also a small time jump, which may not matter anywhere near as much in many other industries. Hollywood is different. Things change there within a day.

Season 2 episode 1, “The Players” –  “Two months have passed and a lot of changes have happened to the cast of “Locked.”

Now, let’s talk for a minute about the Famous in Love season 2 marketing strategy since that’s a little bit strange. Why isn’t Freeform offering up all of the episodes at once again? Maybe it’s a timing issue, but it is certainly strange for them to offer up a full season at once only to take it away for season 2. We’ve already seen many online unhappy with that decision, as they liked having the ability to binge the entirety of the first season over a couple of days.

What will be fairly interesting is seeing if the ratings for Famous in Love improve with everyone watching at once — or if some of the viewers who were binge-watching previously opt to come back and do something similar once the season ends.
