Who is Raleigh Sinclair III? Let’s just say that he could be one of the most notable villains on The Blacklist season 5, and he’s played by Fringe and Sleepy Hollow alum John Noble.

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Noble is going to be appearing on the upcoming February 28 episode (fittingly titled “Raleigh Sinclair III”). This character is someone who basically helps people find a way to channel some of their darkest impulses. He helps to create alibis for many of his clients who carry out the most terrible deeds possible — in return, though, he forces a great deal of allegiance.

In a statement, show executive producer Jon Bokenkamp had to say about the casting:

“We’ve been big fans of John Noble for a long time, and we’ve desperately wanted for him to play a Blacklister, but could never quite find a role that was peculiar or strange or specific enough for John … We now have that role in Mr. Raleigh Sinclair III. And believe me, not only does John Noble nail it, but he also brings something new and fresh to The Blacklist.”

Obviously, we’re going to be excited to see Noble in pretty much anything, especially a show that allows him to play this sort of dark, evil figure. He certainly had that down at times on Sleepy Hollow; he is also voicing at present Mallus, the Big Bad on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

“Dr. Raleigh Sinclair III” also just so happens to be the same episode that is featuring an appearance from Raising Hope alum Martha Plimpton playing Dr. Sharon Friedman, a therapist who will be in part responsible for determining whether or not Elizabeth Keen is going to be heading back into the field with the FBI. She’s going to be a little bit harder to convince than Liz may think at first.
