Arrow season 6 episode 14 spoilers: OTA versus the newbies

Slade Wilson's son

Before diving too deep into some of the Arrow season 6 episode 14 details that we’ve got for you right now, let’s get this out of the way: We don’t really love this whole Original Team Arrow versus New Team Arrow fight. It just feels so predictable in the sense that we know how it’s probably going to end — with some sort of reconciliation down the line. Also, this storyline makes Dinah, Curtis, and Rene less likable and we think the show would be better off having people root more for these characters if they were going to stick around. We’ve always liked Rene and we felt like some of the detractors were starting to come around after learning about his backstory and his daughter. Unfortunately, now that he’s so cocky and talking as though he could take down Oliver Queen, we don’t quite think that is the case anymore.

Below, the Arrow season 6 episode 14 synopsis brings you what is hopefully a look at the zenith of this story:

OTA VS. NTA – Oliver (Stephen Amell), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) disagree with Dinah (Juliana Harkavy), Curtis (Echo Kellum) and Rene (Rick Gonzalez) on how to handle Black Siren (Katie Cassidy). The two teams face off and a fight ensues.

We say this because we’re hoping that after this episode calmer heads will prevail and some of these characters will get back to what really should be the task at hand at this point: Trying to stop the actual villains. It’s been pretty clearly established now that Ricardo Diaz is the real Big Bad of the season more so than Cayden James and the quicker the show can bring him fully into the forefront, the better off we are all going to be as viewers. What’s so exciting about him is that he’s one of the characters left who is imposing both on a physical and a strategic level. That’s a little bit different than Cayden, who was an intellectual opponent but never stood much of a chance in a fight.
