The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 16 return date, story speculation

The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 2

Want to know The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 16 return date on CBS? Then look no further! We just hope you have a lot of patience to see more of the series…

Unfortunately, there is no new episode airing on CBS for the rest of the month after the installment tonight. The same goes for the week after that, and many more weeks to come. The series will not return for a whole month, as The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 16 airs on Thursday, March 1. The biggest reason for this is the Winter Olympics. It’s clear that there is nobody over at CBS who wants to see one of their biggest hit series challenged by a sporting event that only happens during the winter once every four years. (Networks don’t really have this problem during the summer.)

Here’s one of the things that is somewhat interesting about the CBS series when it returns: The episode 16 episode title of “The Neonatal Nomenclature.” What that means, at least to us, is that we could be seeing the arrival of Howard and Bernadette’s second child. This has been a long time coming on this show; Melissa Rauch actually welcomed her baby last year, but the show smartly timed this out so that she could be around a little more from maternity leave at the time they would start to tell more of her story. (We give the producers and Rauch a serious amount of credit to date in general, as they found some rather brilliant ways to incorporate Bernadette into the story without making it feel like she was gone for a significant period of time.)

When The Big Bang Theory returns you are still going to have a good many installments still to air. With that, we imagine that there’ll be more runs of consecutive episodes in March and April than we’re accustomed to … but there’s also not so many that the show can just run right through. There will be a few other breaks in the action here and there.

The one thing to rejoice throughout the break is simply this: Knowing that there is going to be a season 12 down the line.
