Once Upon a Time season 7: Who is the Guardian?
In a new post on Twitter series boss Adam Horowitz confirmed that “The Guardian” is the title for the eighteenth episode (at least production-wise) of this season, which does suggest that you will be waiting for a while to learn this person’s identity. We’ve heard many different theories about their identity already, whether it be Anastasia, Alice, or a character who was previously a part of the series. Yet, there hasn’t been anything definitive just yet.
“The Guardian” as an episode is probably going to air by the time we roll around to April, given that the series itself remains to ABC on March 2. There are obviously some other mysteries that need to be resolved before then, including some regarding the Coven of Eight. There are also some familiar faces that the show could be addressing. In general, it feels as though there is going to be a lot of interesting story coming in the next part of the season and we’re excited to see the show try to dive into some of it. (Does it change the fact that we miss Emma, Robin, Snow, Charming, and many other characters? Not so much.)

One of the other things that we’re hoping for at present is a resolution of some sort to this complicated story we’re seeing play out this season. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done before the finale, especially since there is no word as of yet on a season 8. If we were a Once Upon a Time producer, one of the things that we would emphasize at the moment is finding a way to keep the focus more on answers than creating more questions the rest of the way this spring.
