SAG Awards 2018 winners list: Julia Louis-Dreyfus, William H. Macy, & more

Are you ready to check out a full SAG Awards 2018 winners list? We are very pleased to present them here, coupled with a little bit of analysis! Just remember that we’re a TV-focused website and as a result of that, we’re only going to be talking about some of the champions within this designated medium.

Actor, Comedy Series – William H. Macy, Shameless. The SAG Awards often like to honor revered names and repeat winners, which is why you can’t be altogether surprised that Macy won his third trophy here for playing Frank Gallagher. He is a great actor, and with that we’re not that upset about the win even if it was predictable.

Actress, Comedy Series – Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Veep. We were a little emotional over this one just because JLD is currently in recovery from chemotherapy for breast cancer. We certainly hope that she is well on the road to recovery.

Comedy Ensemble – Veep. We do think it took the audience took a little bit of time to realize that Matt Walsh was doing a bit as he attempted to make his acceptance speech on behalf of the cast bad.

Stunt Ensemble – Game of Thrones. Just like the sky is blue and water is wet, Game of Thrones will continue winning this award.

Movie / Miniseries Actor – Alexander Skarsgard, Big Little Lies. This is just the sort of year that this is within this category.

Movie / Miniseries Actress – Nicole Kidman, Big Little Lies. The only thing that we were concerned about for Big Little Lies here was that all of the nominees would cancel each other out.

Drama Actor – Sterling K. Brown, This Is Us. Is it hard for Sterling to come up with new things to say at this point?

Drama Actress – Claire Foy, The Crown. First major surprise of the night! Elisabeth Moss of The Handmaid’s Tale is upset in this category.
