Outlander season 4 notes: Production teases, honors, and more
If you look below, production designer Jon Gary Steele confirms that a set photo that was snapped recently is not of the Jamie & Claire Cabin as featured in the books. Instead, that said cabin hasn’t been teased just yet. We imagine that it could be down the line, but this is one of those things we wouldn’t mind remaining a secret from now until when the show eventually premieres on Starz later this year. Another interesting option? Having it be released in some sort of official photo from Starz! We want to be able to see the cabin in all of its glory, rather than just something in production or taken somewhat out of the era that it’s intended to be a part of.
One thing we do have confidence in at the moment is that Jon Gary Steele is the right man for the job. We’re excited once more to see what he comes up with.
If for some reason you haven’t caught the news just yet, the setting of Outlander season 4 will be North Carolina as Jamie and Claire Fraser work to start a new life there in the 18th century.

The latest honors
This time around, Outlander is being given some love in the visual effects realm courtesy of the VES Awards, which honor the best in visual effects year after year. Despite the photo below courtesy of the series’ studio Sony Pictures TV, the nominations are both for the season 3 finale entitled “Eye of the Storm.”
If you do want to get some more insight on this, including all of the nominations across the board, you can check those out over at the link here. As of right now Game of Thrones is dominating most of the TV nominations, though that really shouldn’t shock anyone given that this show has cleaned house in the past from this group.
Help the I Love Outlander Facebook
We shared recently a feature piece about one of the most-popular Outlander Facebook pages on the web, which has become a victim of the problematic Sony Counterfind bot. Today, we can share with you a petition (click here) to help get that page restored. As someone who wants to see the community be well-represented by fans all across the board, we certainly hope the page finds a way to come back.
