Victoria season 2 episode 2 on PBS preview: Tragedy awaits

Victoria season 2 episode 2

Want to know more of what’s coming on Victoria season 2 episode 2? We should start things off with a scheduling note: Yet again, there are going to be two episodes of the series airing in a row. We’re going to see the Jenna Coleman series continue the same pattern that they set up tonight, one where one episode aired immediately after the next.

Why do this? One of the simplest reasons for that seems to be to get viewers hooked on the show right away and give them a lot to enjoy at a time in which there isn’t that much on the air. After all, PBS clearly wants to get people hooked before the double-whammy of both the Super Bowl and the Grammys comes up and threatens to take a lot of viewers away. This is counter-programming for sure, but PBS needs to have a stable audience for this said programming to work.

If you are interested in getting some more thoughts on Victoria season 2 episode 2, be sure to check out the attached synopsis:

Discontent is growing in the country, and Victoria throws a costume ball in a misguided attempt to help the silk weavers of Spitalfields – but the spectacular event only exposes her naivety, and an unexpected grief finally forces her to put childish things away for good. Despite giving birth to a healthy Prince of Wales, Victoria finds herself paralyzed by an inexplicable sorrow. Meanwhile, a tragedy in Coburg plunges Albert into his own private torment.

We don’t want to give too much away here for those of you are planning to watch the show and haven’t so far. Yet, we will tell you this: Victoria season 2 episode 2 has the potential to be one of the most heartbreaking installments that you’ve seen to date. There’s a lot of tough stuff that is going to be coming both Victoria and Albert’s way, and one of the big questions at the heart of the show is whether or not they are going to be prepared for it.
