The Flash season 4 episode 12 spoilers: Who’s getting powers?

The Flash season 4 episode 12 will be airing on Tuesday, January 30, and based on the title alone in “Honey, I Shrunk Team Flash” there is one word we would use to describe it: Gold. This episode sounds, by far, like it’s going to be one of the most entertaining of the season so far. It’s a chance to see a meta with very different powers than any other that we’ve come across. Beyond that, you’re also going to be seeing someone else have powers at the same time.

THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MEN – A meta who can shrink anything he touches battles Team Flash. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Ralph (guest star Hartley Sawyer) get caught in his crossfire and are shrunk to miniature versions of themselves. Cecile (guest star Danielle Nicolet) realizes her pregnancy has caused her to have temporary powers and discovers she can hear other people’s thoughts, which unnerves Joe (Jesse L. Martin). Meanwhile, Barry (Grant Gustin) meets someone with a mysterious connection to Henry Allen.

Here’s the big question that we wonder about Cecile’s pregnancy — did she always have powers that were just revealed as a result of this circumstance, does her unborn child have powers, or does Joe have powers that he passed along to the baby, who is in turn passing them along to Cecile? There needs to be a manual on this in order to figure it out!

For those wondering about the person “with a mysterious connection to Henry Allen,” could this mean that Barry is still in prison in this episode as a result of the trial? Given how long his father was locked up following the death of Barry’s mother, it’s reasonable to think that he would have friends there — possibly also rivals, but we don’t really envision Henry Allen as the sort of guy who would have gone to jail and taken part in a prison fight.

As for the meta with the power to shrink people, there’s one more question we have to wonder: Does he have an on-off switch on the shrinking thing? If not, how does he eat?
