NCIS: New Orleans season 4 building towards key Lasalle decision

Earlier on in NCIS: New Orleans season 4, we saw the character of Lasalle face a little bit of pressure courtesy of his father. He has two very different futures ahead for him on the horizon — one of them is working for his father within the family business, and the other one is continuing to stay on his own path being a part of the NCIS team.

Basically, this is Lasalle’s Robert Frost moment — does he take the road less traveled, or does he end up giving in to his father and some of his wishes? We’re going to get an answer on that during an episode airing on January 23. According to a report from TVLine, you’re going to see Lasalle head back home to Alabama while in the middle of a case, and while there he may be forced to encounter more pressure on the subject of his future than he’s endured so far. This is a tough situation for him because he is a very loyal person. He loves his job, and to go along with that he loves the opportunity to continue to work with his colleagues at it. Yet, at the same time he’s very well aware of the responsibility he feels towards his family.

Are there some other mitigating factors in this decision, as well? Certainly. We have to think that Percy also plays a role in here. Even though the Country Mouse and the City Mouse are not together at the moment, there are definitely still some feelings there … and we wonder just how much of these feelings are going to be unearthed on Tuesday night’s new episode when we see Percy with a new love interest. Isn’t that going to be a tough thing for Lasalle to deal with?
