A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2 premiere date official at Netflix
How about this for a New Year’s Day gift? Thanks to the fine folks at Netflix, we now know officially the A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2 premiere date!
The streaming provider made the news official a little bit earlier in the day in the form of a new video, one in which Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) kicked things off with a fun message for everyone watching:
“I’m so sorry to disturb your recovery but it’s time for us to get this New Year’s Day binge started … but those are the same people who wouldn’t recognize handsome if it set your house on fire. So dive on in, distract yourself with this first look at season 2 of A Series of Unfortunate Events.”
At the end of the teaser, you learn officially that A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2 will start streaming on March 30. The first season of A Series of Unfortunate Events, (based on the popular Lemony Snicket series) wasted no time at all generating popularity among fans old and new. It probably told a more faithful adaptation than the Jim Carrey movie and Neil Patrick Harris just so turned out to be the perfect person to play Olaf. Neil is the sort of performer who can tackle all of his various eccentricities, and we’ve got a feeling that he very much enjoyed the opportunity to play someone who is so fundamentally different from Barney Stinson in just about every single way.
Beyond the second season, the great news is that there’s already a third season of the show — with that, there are more opportunities for some great stories coming up. Once we’ve got some more news on that, we’ll have it for you here.
