Christmas Eve marathons: A Christmas Story, Billions, Power, Scrubs, Doctor Who, and more

Billions season 3

Want to check out some Christmas Eve Marathons? There are a lot of great ones you’re going to want to see! While some networks are choosing to air movies are staying (reasonably) close to their typical schedule, you’ve got a few others who are giving you a lot of their tried-and-true favorites over the course of the night.

Remember that all of the times that we’ve got listed below are Eastern Standard, and be sure to check back throughout the day for some more TV highlights as they come in!

Doctor Who (BBC America) – Basically, the BBC science fiction phenomenon is going to be airing on a constant loop from the start of the day until the end. All of this is leading up to the big Christmas Special coming on, of course, December 25.

Scrubs (8:00 a.m., Fuse) – It’s one our favorite comedies of all time and we actually think tonally it works well with the holidays — it’s that perfect mixture of funny and sweet.

Billions (9:00 a.m., Showtime) – It’s smart, savvy, and a very different sort of entertainment than either of the shows we first mentioned. If you’ve got some time to burn and want to be challenged on Christmas Eve, this Paul Giamatti show is for you.

Power (10:54 a.m., Starz) – It’s a weird time to start off the show, but the Omari Hardwick drama will replay the fourth season starting at about this time. It’s a great one! Definitely worth checking out.

Real Housewives of Atlanta (11:00 a.m., Bravo) – Want to ring in the holidays by watching people scream and throw shade at each other? This is the show for you?

Futurama (3:00 p.m., Syfy) – It’s strange given that Syfy is airing a marathon overnight, only to do another one here. Not that we’re complaining or anything.

A Christmas Story (8:00 p.m., TNT and TBS) – Here, it begins — the annual tradition that is so much better than what Fox put on the air in musical form recently.
