Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 9 preview: The search for an antidote

Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 9

When Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 9 airs on CBS in one week’s time, at the center of it is going to be one thing above all else: An antidote. Can the team find it in time — or, at least, select members of the team? This episode entitled Make me Kai, which translates to mean “Death at Sea” (ominous, no?), is going to do two of our favorite things: Feature a storyline in which individual characters get a chance to shine and also a story where there’s a limited amount of time that characters have to survive.

CarterMatt has the Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 9 synopsis below, which give you a reasonably good idea as to what is coming up on the show next:

“Make me kai” – When investigating a deserted yacht adrift at sea, McGarrett, Danny, Tani and Junior are exposed to a deadly bioweapon and the rest of Five-0 have only eight hours to find an antidote, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Dec. 8 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

By the conclusion of this episode we imagine (or at least hope) that everyone is going to find a way to survive. We’re mostly interested in the how they survive over the if, largely because the idea of the entire cast getting killed off midseason makes us feel a little sick to our stomach. This episode is the third-to-last one of the year, so the stakes are even higher for the show to deliver. For those who have not heard as of yet, there are actually going to be two different episodes airing on December 15. The reasoning for this seems to be CBS making up for the episode of Hawaii Five-0 that was preempted earlier this year for a Michael Jackson Halloween Special. This show produces so many episodes a year that it can afford to do some two-hour episodes and still have some space for many other installments down the line.
