The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 10 preview: Sheldon, Amy plan the wedding

The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 10 is coming on CBS next week, and this one should please many a Shamy ‘shipper! This is a story that will provide a progress report on where the two are as they prepare for their special day, and to go along with that, how they are making the process palatable for two people who are often very strong-willed in their approach to things. Given that Sheldon and Amy don’t exactly act altogether orthodox to many things, you cannot expect them to treat this situation a whole lot differently.

“The Confidence Erosion” – Sheldon and Amy try to eliminate stress from wedding planning by applying math to the process. Also, Koothrappali “breaks up” with Wolowitz after realizing his best friend is actually hurting his confidence, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Dec. 7 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

While we’ve yet to see this particular episode it’s not altogether difficult to project a few different things about it, beginning with the fact that Sheldon planning out a wedding with math is probably not going to be as brilliant as it sounds on paper. There are going to be some bumps in the road that go along with this — you know what they say about the best laid plans, right? There’ll probably be some issue that he finds in the math that makes him think that wedding-planning is a waste of time and then this entire scheme blows up in his and Amy’s faces.

What we are happy about is that Sheldon is ready to step back into the wedding planning ring. Earlier this season he was so stressed out over even just picking a date that he ended up doing something that is completely out of character for him: Handing over complete control of the wedding planning to Amy. There’s a lot more comedy to be had if Sheldon is part of the process, so we are excited that he’s back on board.

As for what’s coming with Raj and Howard, we think that their friendship breakup is just a temporary way for them to sort through their issues … or at least that’s what we hope. We do think that Raj’s confidence is often damaged by his  friends, but at the same time they’re there for him if he needs him. This is effectively the trade-off that he is dealing with.
