Arrow season 6 episode 8 preview: Oliver, Felicity’s role in ‘Crisis on Earth-X’
The first thing that you should know about the Arrow portion of the crossover is that it’s not going to be airing on its normal night and time. Instead, Arrow will technically be on the air next Monday night 9:00 p.m. Eastern. This is the second part of the crossover after Supergirl, and it is going to be the second of the four hours that are going to be airing as a whole. (The next two parts of the crossover are going to air on the following night.
So what is going to be coming up for some of the Arrow characters during the crossover? There’s definitely a lot of buzz out there about something big happening for Oliver and Felicity — if nothing else, we do think that they are going to be relied upon as leaders of the team during the event. They are two of the longest-tenured crime-fighters within the DC – CW universe, and they both can lead the charge for their respective groups. (Oliver’s an influential leader in terms of being out in the field, while we’re pretty sure that Felicity is one of the best tech specialists / hackers around).
Let’s just say that we don’t think the placement of Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards in the photo above is any coincidence.
Just in case you haven’t heard much about the main story of Crisis on Earth-X, CarterMatt has that for you via the synopsis below:
THE EPIC FOUR-WAY CROSSOVER WITH “ARROW,” “SUPERGIRL,” “THE FLASH” AND “DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW” CONTINUES – Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) and Iris’s (guest star Candice Patton) wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), The Ray (guest star Russell Tovey), Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), Iris West and Alex Danvers (guest star Chyler Leigh) to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist), The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and White Canary (guest star Caity Lotz) – lead their teams into battle to save the world.
