Macy’s Parade: Justin Hartley on This Is Us season 2
This is what Hartley himself talked about with Roker, though he made it clear that he never imagined that the show would be anywhere near the enormous success that it’s become:
“You can never predict those kind of things — I knew we had a special show … I’m just glad we found an audience and people seem to be enjoying it. It’s really a show that anyone can watch.”
So while Hartley and his wife Chrishell Stause are going to have a chance to have a wonderful Thanksgiving together, we’ve got a feeling that things for his character of Kevin Pearson are not going anywhere close to this good. His character is effectively getting closer and closer to hitting rock bottom, with him at the end of “Number One” going to Randall desperately in hope of some support. Due to Kate’s miscarriage, however, he found himself in a position where he shied away from admitting his addiction/some of the demons he is currently battling.
As for where things are going to go from here, one of the biggest bits of information you should know is that things are going to get much worse for Kevin. Meanwhile, Randall (on Tuesday’s “Number Three”) is going to find himself fighting for Deja after her birth mother is released from prison. She’s going to say that she’s ready to be a mother again, but is Randall really going to be willing to give his foster duaghter up to someone who he doesn’t believe to be a fit mother?
In the past, meanwhile, you’re going to have a chance to see Randall and Jack get into a debate over college.
