Criminal Minds season 13 episode 9 return date: ‘False Flag’ and the road ahead
Let’s start here with what we consider to be the good news — there is still another episode coming up in the calendar year! However, the show is taking next week off and that is where the bad news comes in. Just be happy that at a time in which there are so many repeats on the air in the month of December that there is some new programming to enjoy.
This upcoming Criminal Minds season 13 episode 9 is entitled “False Flag,” and as CarterMatt reported recently, cast member Joe Mantegna is directing the episode! This is a man who has been at the helm of many installments in the past and he understands what it’s like delivering on the style and the tone of this show.
The synopsis offers up a little more insight as to what makes this story so special:
“False Flag” – When two members of a conspiracy group in Roswell, New Mexico perish in quick succession, the BAU is called to investigate, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Dec. 6 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Criminal Minds season 13 episode 9 is going to be quite possibly the most conspiracy-oriented episode we’ve seen in a while — maybe it’ll be a good way to tide us over until we get around to watching The X-Files in the new year! If nothing else, it’s just going to be fun to see the BAU in Roswell.
As for looking beyond that into the new year the writers may have many exciting things planned. We also think that they may be looking towards the future even beyond season 13. Even though this is the show’s lowest-rated season of the show to date, it’s also airing in a later time-slot with lower expectations. We don’t get the sense that it’ll be going anywhere in the near future — we don’t have the highest expectations for tonight’s episode in the ratings, but it’s hard to when you consider that it’s the day before Thanksgiving and people are off doing other things that hopefully involve preparing for a turkey feast!
