Good Behavior season 2 ratings rise following drag-show episode
This episode was one of the most-promoted of the season, which makes some sense given the popularity of RuPaul’s Drag Race and also because it was just so different visually than many of the others we’ve seen the series execute. We’ve said from the start that TNT promotion isn’t really the issue with the show’s numbers — it’s just for one reason or another that promotion isn’t translating into big numbers. It’s not getting the ratings it needs like the already-renewed Animal Kingdom or the soon-to-conclude Major Crimes. Yet, it’s found a way to persevere and stay on the air so far and hopefully it continues to find a way to do that.
Here is the good news for Good Behavior season 2 at the moment: The drag-themed episode did lead to the show getting some of its best numbers since the premiere. We’re talking here about 620,000 total viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic — while far from outstanding numbers, these may still be enough for the show’s fans to feel a little bit more optimistic. In general this is a show that does generate a lot of viewership after it airs and it’s understandable as to why — Good Behavior is airing up against NFL football on Sunday nights, and there are many people out there who are going to bed at around the time that it ends up coming on the air. This has shown itself to be a difficult time-slot over the years for broadcast TV, and it only makes sense that over on cable there would also be some struggles.
We imagine that TNT is going to let the entire season of Good Behavior play out before they make a firm decision one way or another regarding its future. With the ratings being what they are at present there is no clear reason to rush things along.
