Scorpion season 4 episode 9 preview: The Thanksgiving episode

Scorpion season 4 episode 9 is airing on CBS in one week’s time, and we’re going to see the team celebrating Thanksgiving! You have to love holiday episodes, and you especially have to love ones for a show like this. There’s such a family dynamic here and you know that there’ll be a few festive moments throughout.

Of course, you are also going to see during Scorpion season 4 episode 9 an installment where a percentage of the team finds themselves at the mercy of the entire ocean. Let’s just say, (per the synopsis CarterMatt has for you below) that the plans established by Florence to help them out on a mission end up literally disappearing into thin air:

“It’s Raining Men (Of War)” – On Thanksgiving, Team Scorpion’s new neighbor, Florence (guest star Tina Majorino), joins them at sea on a mission to destroy a floating island of trash, but her flawed contribution leaves her, Walter and Happy stranded on the quickly dissolving island. Also, Toby works with Cabe to uncover the details of his father’s death that he has suppressed since he was a boy, on SCORPION, Monday, Nov. 20 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The Toby storyline is interesting to us in that this could be one that lasts far beyond this episode and into the future. We could start to understand through what happened to his father a little more in terms of why he acts the way he does; a big part of it may be because he did not have that proper father figure. Cabe is the right person to have on his side for this, but we don’t quite think this means that he will be able to come up with a resolution to this case over the course of a single hour. More than likely, this is going to be something that takes time in order to get a proper resolution for. We hope that’s the case here — Scorpion needs to do more long-term stories. As good as some of the case-of-the-week plots can be, they don’t do a whole lot to engage viewers on a week to week basis. You want to give them more of an incentive to both watch the show and do it live.
