Real Housewives of Atlanta premiere video: NeNe Leakes takes on Porsha Williams

Real Housewives of Atlanta premiere

The Real Housewives of Atlanta premiere is airing on Bravo Sunday night and with NeNe Leakes back in the mix it’s very much rinse and repeat. She’s back on the show, and getting into some of the same arguments and starting the same drama that she once did. This is all going to feel very familiar with her and there’s a very good reason for that.

In the video below, you can see NeNe doing her part to question her broken friendship with Porsha Williams and the millions of different things that have transpired between the two of them. In her words, the door is “locked” when it comes to their friendship. Then, there were questions aplenty as to whether or not NeNe wanted Porsha fire — she calls her out on it and the two get pretty heated and trade insults.

At the end of the preview the two walk away, not really making any progress with each other at all. If you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta regularly, you should be familiar with this. It’s standard operating procedure for no actual issues to get resolved.

Below, the premiere synopsis that CarterMatt has for you offers up a small sense as to what is going to be coming up on this premiere:

Kenya returns home from vacation with big news but quickly learns that her secret is already out. Despite the explosive rumors from last year, Kandi shows no signs of defeat as business continues to boom at the OLG restaurant. Meanwhile, Porsha struggles with letting people back into her life after being betrayed, and Cynthia celebrates her fiftieth birthday one more time. Things heat up at the party when NeNe comes face to face with a former friend.

Beyond the drama that you are seeing here one of the other things we have major expectations for in this episode is to learn a little bit more about what’s going on with Kenya and her new relationship. This made a ton of headlines over the off-season, especially when it comes to how private she was keeping it. Seeing how this is addressed on the show should be interesting given that this is a show that, in theory, does expose a ton of your life. It’s possible that you can pick and choose what you want to share and what you don’t, (Asa on Shahs of Sunset doesn’t share her relationship at all), but it’s not altogether easy. As a matter of fact it’s probably going to be a frequent source of drama for Kenya — even if she doesn’t want certain parts of her life out that hardly means that some other people are going to listen to her.
