Scandal season 7 episode 5 video: Olivia delivers Fitz a message

Scandal season 7 episode 5 is coming onto ABC Thursday night, and at the center of it is going to be a very important message.

So, what is it? Let’s just say that Olivia Pope is not altogether excited to keep Fitz around. She makes this clear in a message that ends up being delivered to the former president by none other than Rowan. How does Fitz feel about that? Well, it’s pretty much exactly like what you would expect for him to feel. He is not happy. This is a guy who went through quite a bit in order to be able to see her in back in Washington. He left his place in Vermont (and whatever plans he had set up there) and wants nothing more than to kickstart some sort of new life with Olivia. It’s too bad that he is getting a little bit of mixed signals here. After all, the two of them did get together on this past episode and that could lead him to believe that there is something more going on here. Unfortunately, that did not end up being the case. Olivia now has more power than she ever had before thanks to her position as White House chief of staff. She is now taking control of a lot of things, and that leads to a lot of new responsibilities. One thing that it give her much control over is a stable social life. Trying to find a way to have a relationship with a former president is even harder than it would be in the first place, which is pretty much impossible.

Yet, for whatever reason, we do still think there’s a chance that Olivia and Fitz will find a way to make this work. All you have to do is look at the evidence of their relationship so far. When you start to think that it is completely falling apart and is done, something comes up and they end up running back to each other. (Okay, they don’t actually run, but you get the sense of what we’re talking about here.) These two may be like oil and water, but for some reason they are an oil and water that really wants to mix with each other before splitting off in the other direction.
