The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco to star in potential limited series

Kaley Cuoco isn’t leaving The Big Bang Theory anytime soon, but she is clearly looking for a few more opportunities in order to spread her wings.

According to a new report that is coming in right now via Deadline, Cuoco is currently set to star in the limited series The Flight Attendant, a limited series project that she is working on with her Yes, Norman Productions banner. This new production company is a part of the deal that she has with Warner Bros. TV, the studio that is of course behind the hit CBS comedy show. This enables her, much like Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, and her other co-stars, to continue playing her character while pursuing some other projects at the same time.

The Flight Attendant is a story based on an upcoming novel from Chris Bohjalian, and Cuoco is going to both star and executive produce on the project. It has a story that is somewhat reminiscent of the USA limited series The Sinner in how one incident seemingly changes everything in the life of a woman. Here, Cuoco’s character (fittingly a flight attendant) is going to find herself in deep trouble. She wakes up one day in Dubai, in a hotel room that is not her own, but also with a dead man. She doesn’t have any memory as to why this happened, but one of the main cruxes of the story is (of course) her personal journey to try to figure this out and get the appropriate answers she seeks.

This is a story that is going to touch on a number of different things, with alcohol and its effects seemingly being one of them. It’s certainly a chance to see Kaley in a project that is very much different from playing Penny on a sitcom.

As for how she’ll be able to do both projects if The Flight Attendant lands (obvious joke), the simple answer there is that she would do the limited series during her filming hiatus. Plus, with both projects at the same studio that helps to ease some of the difficult work that would need to be done to make sure this could happen.
