Ballers season 3 episode 5 spoilers: Spencer fights for financing

Ballers season 3 episode 5

It’s one thing to have a dream; it’s another making it into a reality. This seems to be the struggle at the heart of Ballers season 3 episode 5. At this point, it’s pretty darn clear that Spencer Strasmore wants to be responsible for bringing an NFL team to Las Vegas, just as it’s also clear that he’s willing to do almost anything to make it happen.

Unfortunately for him, there are some problems, including the fact that there aren’t all that many people interested in making it happen. There are people with the money necessary in order to make the move, but trying to get billionaires to part with that money is no easy task. Take a look at the synopsis below to get a little bit more information as to what’s coming.

Ballers season 3 episode 5 synopsis – “Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) faces new challenges getting Wayne (Steve Guttenberg) to finance his Vegas initiative, and ponders his place in the big picture. Looking to mend a long-festering feud between Larry (Dulé Hill) and Coach Berg (Peter Berg), Julie (Jazmyn Simon) persuades Charles (Omar Benson Miller) to invite both men over for a home-cooked meal. Vernon (Donovan W. Carter ) is surprised by an unscheduled visit from a league official; Joe (Rob Corddry) becomes obsessed with virtual reality; Ricky (John David Washington) loses focus and pays the price.”

Basically, there are a few different blindsides that are going to be coming in this episode. First, Spencer’s going to be struck when Ricky starts to feel like his priorities have shifted, and he isn’t caring so much about the future of his clients; yet, at the same time he’s being told by others that he should actually stick to keeping his focus on them given that the whole process of trying to get a franchise in Sin City isn’t working out all that well.

Meanwhile, you’re going to get a chance to see Larry and Coach Berg fight in the middle of dinner! For anyone who wants to see grown men act like children and potentially ruin some perfectly good food, this could be the chance to see that very thing.

There’s obviously a lot going on here, which is both an asset and a risk to the series. If everything fires on all cylinders, then you have a great story stuffed with depth and interesting developments. However, if you’ve got a storyline that is lacking in something, it could weigh down the rest of the story as a whole. You’re taking a mighty big risk here in the end! Let’s hope it all pans out.
