Teen Wolf season 6B: Arden Cho, Crystal Reed not returning

Arden cho

As you start to see a number of familiar faces over the final episodes of Teen Wolfwe do have to remind you of this very-sad news: Arden Cho and Crystal Reed are not going to be among them. The two actress are not returning for the final episodes, and that’s made an even larger bummer because of the fact that people like Colton Haynes, Charlie Carver, and Tyler Hoechlin are. If you can get them back, why not bring back everyone? (Let’s be clear — we’re thrilled that the guys are coming back; it’s also just a reminder that certain people from the past won’t be there.)

Show creator Jeff Davis recently confirmed the lack of a Cho and Reed return to TVLine, explaining mostly that there were limits to the number of people who could be brought back:

“We won’t be seeing either of them in the final 10. We had this long list of people that we wanted to have back, and difficult decisions had to be made, unfortunately.”

The good news for those of you who are Reed fans is that you will get a chance to see her soon on Gotham season 4. She also has made an appearance on the show since Allison was killed off in a flashback story, so her presence has been felt in some shape or form and we don’t feel cheated about the way in which her time ended.

We certainly won’t forget the contributions that Reed made to the early seasons of the show, and in looking back Allison’s death is one of the biggest watershed moments of the entire franchise. It’s hard to think that the progression of some of these characters would be where it is if she had remained alive. (Nonetheless, we do still miss her.)

As for Cho’s Kira, this is the return that actually bothers us the most given that there really wasn’t all that much in the way of closure here. She just departed, and we have to imagine that she’s still off in the desert somewhere. Even if she wasn’t a part of the long-term plans for the show, couldn’t we at least get some sort of update as to where she is now? We understand that time is fairly limited given that there are just ten episodes ahead but is it really so limited that you cannot include her in just a few scenes? (Maybe Teen Wolf will do that without actually giving Cho an appearance in the flesh, strange as that would be.)

While we do anticipate that we are going to enjoy the final season of Teen Wolf very much, we’ll continue to reminisce about some of the people from the series’ past.
