Killjoys season 3 episode 5 spoilers: Face the fear of death

When Killjoys season 3 episode 5 airs on Syfy, one thing is going to be very much clear: Danger around every corner. There’s an attack striking right in the heart of the group, and that’s made so much more challenging thanks to the presence of a mole. There is not a single thing about this episode that suggests that the story will slow down even for a second; instead, it’s probably going to be crazy virtually from start to finish. Given that we’re nearing the midway point of the season, this does feel like the time to up the ante.

Just as we often do with these articles, we’re going to start things off with the official Syfy synopsis before getting into a few other teasers and the latest ratings conversation.

Killjoys season 3 episode 5 synopsis – “The Killjoy rebels take drastic measures to clean house: a secret ops attack against their own Rack. But thanks to Aneela’s schemes and a mole among them, not everyone will make it out alive.”

Now, the question that you should wonder after reading something like that is whether or not the characters who die are ones that you care about — there’s a difference between losing a series regular and then losing a somewhat-liked person who you see for just an episode or two here and there.

The latest ratings report

Here’s some great news for everyone out there who wants to see a Killjoys season 4 — last week’s episode (3×03) ended up drawing the best ratings so far this season! While it was relatively even in the demo (viewers aged 18-49) with a 0.2 rating, it did post roughly 645,000 total viewers.

When we saw some of the lower premiere numbers a little bit earlier this month, one of the biggest fears that we had was that the show was going to stabilize there. However, we’ve since seen the numbers creep slowly closer to where they were in season 2. As of right now, Killjoys is only down year-to-year just over 10% in the demo, and is less than that in total viewers. If the next episode can increase the demo performance even by just a smidgen, we’ll start to feel even better about its odds of returning for more.
