Killjoys season 3 episode 3 spoilers: ‘The Hullen Have Eyes’

If you love your Syfy series to feature random references to horror franchises, you’ll love Killjoys season 3 episode 3! After all, the title here is “The Hullen Have Eyes,” a nice reference to both the show itself and then also The Hills Have Eyes at the same time. Luckily, this show has a tendency to make us smile a whole lot more than that movie ever did.

What will be a little more of a surprise during this episode is what the Killjoys discover when they land in a new planet — consider this one of those pieces of evidence that the past can find ways to haunt you no matter where you are, and ultimately no matter what you’re dealing with.

Killjoys season 3 episode 3 synopsis – “The Killjoys trace the last coordinates of a Black Root ship to a radiation scorched planet, finding an abandoned Hullen training camp, creepy inhabitants and a surprising connection to their past.”

The bad news about this episode? There weren’t any promotional photos that were anywhere near as cool as the one we shared last week. Luckily, that seems to be the only bad news, since otherwise it does look as though this story is going to be a whole lot of fun and something absolutely worth exploring. It combines a few of the different elements that are great about this show — character development, a spirit of adventure, and diving further into its own mythology. Also, it’ll probably freak you out at some point — it wouldn’t have that episode title otherwise, right?

Can you be somewhere and not be somewhere at the same time? In the wake of tonight’s episode and the pretty-awesome end to it, this is a question that’s going to be raised when the gang arrives to a new world, one that poses many interesting questions about their history there and what their role should. Is there more to this story, or does this world have a very different concept of time? Killjoys promos are not necessarily the best when they come to giving specifics; however, they do excel at presenting pretty fantastic edits with visceral moments and cool sights galore.
