Dark Matter season 3 episode 6 spoilers: Blasts from the past

Dark Matter season 3 episode 6

When you think for a moment about time loops and personality uploads, it’s hard for anything on Dark Matter season 3 episode 6 to feel strange. Nonetheless, we feel like the show is going to look at that and say “challenge accepted!” a la Barney Stinson moving into the new episode airing on Syfy in one week’s time.

The title for this upcoming installment is “One More Card to Play,” which is interesting, but not superficially interesting enough to pinpoint precisely what it’s going to be a reference to. While “All the Time in the World” last week was very much about Three-in-a-Loop and tonight’s “Give It Up, Princess” seems to be very much about the hunt for someone specific, it could be the past that takes center stage this time — in the form of faces. We’re not so much speaking in the sense of The Doctor turning up and sending the likes of Two and Five into the future (though that would be awesome, and hopefully far friendlier than the vision of the future The Android encountered here recently).

Let’s get down now to specifics, via Syfy anyway, of what is going to be coming in this episode.

Dark Matter season 3 episode 6 synopsis – “Familiar faces from the past return, causing havoc and forcing our crew to scramble to save their already damaged reputations.”

Alas, life is tough when you’re a part of the Raza crew and you’ve got everyone from Ferrous to Ryo saying terrible things about who you are and what you’ve done. This is an angle of science fiction in general (beyond just this show) that would be interesting to explore further. It’s also one that contains some chilly parallels to modern day, where you have people in power attempting to control the narrative so that all of us, the representative Raza crews of the world, have to deal with tainted reputations due to misinformation and propaganda. It’s not an easy thing to overcome, but we think that most people in this world operate the best as underdogs. It cultivates that element of surprise, allows the opportunity to excite, and ultimately makes for a far more interesting narrative. Watching someone at the top of the world stay at the top of the world feels too much like the NBA from this past season, if you’ll allow that one sports analogy in an article about science fiction.

About the promo

Based on the video footage that’s present here, Ryo is angry. You won’t like him when he’s angry. Like any terrible dictator, he will think that the best way to get back at people who wronged him is with some terrible show of force. That’s trouble for the Raza crew and beyond.
