Chicago Fire season 6 spoilers: More early teases
Over the weekend, showrunner Derek Haas shared a few more teases on what’s coming, and also some information from a technical side of things. This begins with a little bit of news on the episode count — season 6 of the series is going to run for at least 20 episodes. Odds are, it will go beyond that, but to what expect remains to be seen. Personally, our hope is to get a batch of around 22 or 23 episodes. 24 seems a little bit ambitious.
What could influence that further? Think in terms of the show’s ratings. If it’s performing really well and there are holes in the schedule, we figure that there could be some room for more episodes coming up in the future.
Beyond the episode count, remember that the new season is going to be premiering on NBC this September.
As for some other teases, what we know at the moment here is that there will be no enormous time jump, at least right away. There could be one coming down the road, at least once the events of that devastating fire at the end of the episode are completely resolved.
Meanwhile, Haas will share the title for the premiere once he gets the okay. Typically, there is a certain degree of relevance to these titles — think in terms of “My Miracle” being a powerful quote from one of the biggest moments of the finale. It won’t give away much of anything when it comes tot he story, but it is absolutely still worth noting.
Oh, and one last thing: You’ll probably see the first promo near the end of August. This isn’t something Haas directly controls, but the timing here feels right. This should end up being the thing that really gets everyone’s hearts beating fast as we got closer and closer to the big premiere September 28.
