Lucifer season 3 spoilers: Tricia Helfer confirms Charlotte’s return

Even though Mom may be gone, Lucifer season 3 is going to carry on with Tricia Helfer’s character of Charlotte Richards.

In a new post on her official Twitter account, Helfer confirmed that she will be returning for the upcoming season, and in the “new” character of Charlotte. The fun with this feels fairly simple, since you’re going to get a chance to know who this character is separate from her being under someone else’s control. There is absolutely something fun in seeing her now, and it’s reminiscent in some way of what we are seeing at the moment with Tom Cavanagh over the course of The Flash where he takes on different characters over the course of the season.

There are MANY reasons to rejoice getting to see more of Helfer on the third season of the show, with one of the big ones being that she provides such an interesting foil to so many other people. For example, her relationship with Lucifer will be beyond interesting now given that what he sees when he looks at her the rest of the way is going to be his mother. Meanwhile, for Dan and Chloe will they be able to get past their own perceptions of her? What is she going to be able to contribute to the overall team now? There are such a wide array of questions to ask, and watching everything unfold moving into the story of the season will be deliciously fun (much in the way that most things when it comes to Lucifer are).

The third season is going to kick off filming in proper over the coming weeks, and it will premiere most likely in September. If there is one thing that is set in stone right now, it’s that the show has a new timeslot in Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. We’ll see if this is something that works in the show’s benefit. For the time being, it is clear that this is a series that could use a little boost in the numbers this fall.
