NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 episode 22 spoilers: ‘Golden Days’
Not only that, but this is also going to be an episode that really picks up where the one prior leaves off in terms of giving you a good story featuring memorable guest stars.
NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 episode 22 synopsis – “A gold heist investigation has the NCIS team working with Hetty’s former Vietnam War colleagues, Retired Admiral AJ Chegwidden (John M. Jackson), Admiral Sterling Bridges (James Remar) and Retired Captain Charles Langston (Carl Lumbly).”
Any chance that you can get some of these actors on the show is a chance worth celebrating, and we would draw a couple of parallels here between this crew and the Sherlocks over on NCIS proper. Given that these shows tend to have an older audience, one of the things that the franchise really achieves is an inspirational feeling to people of all ages. The producers want to reinforce that it doesn’t quite matter who you are or your age — you can still be invaluable to making the world a better place. The fact that these guys have a close connection to Hetty certainly helps to make it even more organic to the world.
On the other side of this episode next week, be ready for a finale event that will be in part focused on Sam and his family. We’ve seen them be in danger before, but he’ll have to go into protective mode once again thanks to a rise of a longtime nemesis. Let’s just say that Tahir Khaled is going to be involved. Beyond that, we’ll leave everything a mystery for the time being.
In general, expect a little bit of fun next week, but also some serious moments given that we are clearly building now to an end — even if it is just for the season. It’s already been confirmed, after all, that there will be an NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 premiering on CBS in the fall.
