Blue Bloods season 7 episode 20 sneak peek: Why’s Frank so happy?

Blue Bloods season 7

In the Blue Bloods season 7 episode 20 sneak peek, you’re going to see something that is relative rare for the show — Frank with some sort of smile on his face!

So why in the world is the guy so happy? After watching the sneak peek, that is still something that we’ve got some serious questions about … mostly because it’s not as though he’s walking on sunshine and rainbows. Instead, he thinks that he’s found the right amount of evidence in order to take on the Mayor’s office for potential misconduct. There’s been a cold war brewing there for a little while, and he feels confident now that he can swing things around a little more in his favor.

As for whether or not Frank has a reason to be anywhere near as confident as he is about this … well, that’s a different question altogether. Even if he has evidence, there is a very good point brought up to him here in that the Mayor can fire him. On the other hand, he can’t fire the Mayor. Taking on the highest seat of power in New York City is no easy task, especially someone as shrewd as Mayor Poole. He’s been around the block with the city for a little while, and part of the reason for Frank’s roller-coaster of emotions is that he feels like the Mayor has disrespected the police department for some time.

As we inch closer to the end of this season (remember here that there are only a few more episodes still to come before the finale airs), we do anticipate that this is going to be more and more of an integral part of the story.

If you did miss it, we know that this battle is far from over because David Ramsey will be appearing as Mayor Poole in the finale. We can’t tell you at present whether or not you will see the character in the flesh during this episode, but this is something to expect down the road … and something that could be integral in the story for the upcoming eighth season. Remember for a minute that the show’s already been renewed for that.
