TV Madness 2017: Longmire and Black Sails close out Final Four
Today, the final four concludes in our TV Madness 2017 series, as Longmire and Black Sails are prepared to face off in what should be an epic battle. These are two shows that have been fairly dominant in making it this far, and have often received roughly the same number of votes in many of the polls.
Ultimately, what we’re trying to say here is that this is one of the first polls late in the tournament that we’re entering with no idea at all as to who is going to win. This is really just going to depend on the number of fans who come out! Either way, the winner here’s going to face an even steeper task in taking on the winner of either Outlander or Poldark, who are currently squaring off against each other in the other Final Four showdown.
Now, let’s get to sizing up these contenders…
Longmire (#3 seed) – The Netflix drama is getting set to enter its final season, so we’ve seen one of the reasons for the passionate support here being a desire to get the word out and spread the love while filming begins. It’s a show that knows a thing or two about fan passion — its fans are one of the few reasons why it’s still around, and its fans also have taken it through some challenging showdowns here. It started by thwarting Chicago Med, then it managed to take on Hawaii Five-0 and one of the biggest Cinderella stories of the entire tournament in #8 seed Call the Midwife. Can it make it to the final round?
Black Sails (#7 seed) – While Longmire is filming its final season, Black Sails is just one episode away from the series finale. This tournament ends mere days before the show does, so is this a great way to help drop the curtain? What we do know is that the dominance of this show remains one of the tournament’s biggest surprises — its a Cinderella in every way that Call the Midwife was. It started by winning the play-in, and then dominated both This Is Us and Chicago PD. Sherlock gave it a little more of a fight in round three, but it still emerged with more than three-quarters of the vote to end up here.
Now, this is all up to you! Vote however often you’d like in the poll below — as a reminder, for repeat voting you may need to either clear your cache or use a separate browser / device.
