Eliza Dushku could become Bull season 2 regular
Sources confirm that the former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress is going to appear in the final three episodes of season 1 in the role of J.P. Nunnelly, the head of a powerful criminal-defense firm who ends up becoming essential to Dr. Bull (Michael Weatherly) and the rest of his team. A member of the TAC finds themselves in some hot water, which explains further why he could need someone like Nunnelly in order to further ensure that his team stays protected and safe.
According to TVLine, it’s possible that Dushku will be made a series regular for the second season based on the success of her arc this season. We absolutely understand the reasoning there, given her popularity and all of the skills that she brings to the table. She’d be an asset to a show that does need a little more star power here and there beyond Weatherly and Freddy Rodriguez.
Now, we just have to wait and see everything that’s going to be coming up with the rest of the season leading up to Eliza’s arrival. Following a hiatus the past couple of weeks, there will be a new episode of Bull airing on Tuesday. The show has a little bit of an off / on scheduling pattern that is similar to many of the other CBS procedurals that are out there. It may be somewhat frustrating for viewers, but it clearly works and there is absolutely no reason as a result of that for the network to want to change things up.
For the record, Dushku’s potential arrival would be the only big change that Bull season 2 could make. As previously reported, the show is set to appoint a new showrunner for the second season, and that could change things around to a certain degree in terms of the creative. To what extent still remains to be seen.
