Criminal Minds season 12 episode 18 spoilers: Spencer Reid’s decision
(Yep, we’ve made two external TV references within the first paragraph. Is our work here done? Nope!)
Below, you can see some further details courtesy of CBS as to what you can expect to see here.
Criminal Minds season 12 episode 18 synopsis – “The BAU investigates an urban vampire in New York who kidnaps his victims at night and holds them underground in the sewer system. Also, Reid makes an impossible decision in prison that severely affects himself and other inmates.”
The Reid prison arc’s taken its time in order to get to this point, and we’re already intensely curious to learn a little further about what this “decision” could be. Sure, it makes sense that you make choices behind bars — often, you need to protect your own hide no matter how difficult it may be — but it’s not that often where you have to think of anyone other than yourself. As a matter of fact, haven’t we seen in a lot of prison movies over the years that you just want to keep to yourself behind bars? (That may not be all that accurate.)
As for how long Matthew Gray Gubler’s character will be behind bars, that much is currently unclear. The one thing we do know with confidence is that the show’s not going to be abandoning some of its procedural format. After all, the one thing we know about the first episode in April is what the procedural case will be.
