Talking Dead lineup: Josh McDermitt, Austin Amelio, Lil Jon talk season 7, episode 11
The obvious name that was announced here was Josh McDermitt, given that this could end up being one of the most important installments of the entire series for Eugene. Here’s trapped at the Sanctuary with Negan, and could end up being subjected to all sorts of terrible orders and chores as the man makes it his mission to get precisely what he wants out of the man with the mullet at every turn.
We’ve heard Josh on podcasts and in other media, so there’s every reason in the world to think that he’ll be fun.
Meanwhile, Josh will be joined by another current star of the show in Austin Amelio, who is bringing so much humanity to a guy in Dwight who was relatively easy to skewer last season. Now that we understand his story and why he’s with the Saviors, he’s more of a sympathetic figure and we’re curious to see what his future has in store by the end of the season.
The final guest tonight is the random one, and it’s Lil Jon. WHAT? OKAY. Lil Jon is going to be on the show. To be fair, we’ve enjoyed him on other reality shows in the past, and people who know him only from him shouting lyrics during some of his songs should be pleasantly surprised.
Scheduling notice
For those of you wondering when Talking Dead tonight is actually beginning, the indications that we’ve got are that the show is going to start at around 10:09 p.m. Eastern time. The flagship show’s been running past an hour for a while now, but this one’s not going completely crazy. For us, this is a good thing. We’re very much of the camp that you can extend the premiere and finale episodes, but try to contain the rest of the stories to the best of your ability.
