‘NCIS: New Orleans’ season 3, episode 15 review: Agent Pride helps Dr. Wade after a copycat murder connects to an old case

NCIS: NOLA -On Tuesday night viewers of “NCIS: New Orleans” were looking at a victim with her eyes carved out. Agent Pride’s team caught a case involving a gruesome crime that including stabbing the victim multiple times and taking out their eyeballs. While this hideous crime might be enough to investigate, it was Dr. Loretta Wade who pointed out it was not the first time she had seen this type of crime.

Connecting the crime to an individual who was recently released from jail, the search is on for the man who the team alleges is responsible. The two killings in New Orleans, while years apart, seem to match perfectly. This gives the team enough motivation to hunt down the recently released felon to wrap up the case.

In a strange twist, the killer proclaims his innocence, but he has no solid proof. He claimed he didn’t kill the woman years ago and he didn’t kill her best friend after being released. Continuing to proclaim his innocence, the alleged killer insists the key to solving the murders is to find one thing. Leading Agent Pride’s team to a photograph taken an hour before the murder, a necklace is seen on the victim. This same piece of jewelry was never found and it is believed to be very expensive.

If the alleged killer is to be believed, the team has to reexamine the murders to see if any details were missed. After checking both cases, it appears that there was tampering. Taking on the case for a complete review, Dr. Wade goes through all the evidence again. The team looks to see who might still be connected to the old case and might have something to lose if the alleged killer finds out the truth.

Sadly, after years of being incarcerated, the alleged killer is proven innocent. The man responsible is the attorney (and he’s the one who threatened to carve out Dr. Wade’s eyeballs too!) Looking to make sure nobody knows the truth, there was a serious confrontation between Dr. Wade and the attorney. Coming just in time, Agent Pride ended up killing the attorney before anybody got carved up.

We really enjoyed watching Dr Wade’s backstory this week on “NCIS: New Orleans.” Finding out how she overcame being a victim and decided to help others made the episode quite exciting. Of course, it was great to see the character go from struggling with her lowest moment and in turn today, helps other victims with her job. Episode grade: A. (Photo: CBS.)
