‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 7, episode 16 preview: McGarrett, Danny hit the beach (and lose some shades)

Typically on “Hawaii Five-0,” we have a tendency to see the likes of McGarrett, Danny, and the rest of the team tackle some high-stakes cases. However, on Friday night’s new episode, the two guys could be out to tackle something a little different: Missing sunglasses.

After a dip in the ocean, Danny comes back to the beach and realizes that his shades are missing. From there … let’s just say that the investigation gets a little funny when Danny finds the culprit and realizes that they aren’t going to be all that interested in giving the shades back. Maybe this is not going to be the focal point of the episode, but it should prove a nice little funny moment for the two guys in the midst of everything else that ends up happening over the course of the hour.

As for what you’re going to see elsewhere, we’re going to see the guys spend some relaxing time with their girlfriends on a little bit of a spa retreat — or at least that is what they’re going to try to do. Given that this is “Hawaii Five-0,” it’s probably fair to say that there is going to be something that gets in the way of this and causes everyone to be distracted. Isn’t that what always happens anyone someone plans a little retreat like this?

Don’t worry — even if Danny and Steve do get a little bit of off time, the remainder of the team will be tasked with another case. This is “Hawaii Five-0,” and it’s not exactly like criminals decide to spend a day at the spa just because they don’t feel like causing trouble on a given day. This may be a more romantic episode of the show than usual, but it should still have a good bit in common with many other episodes that you’ve seen over time.
