‘The Flash’ season 3, episode 10 synopsis: Could Julian join STAR Labs?
We’ve spoken a good bit already about “The Flash” in the context of Savitar, and the terrifying vision of the future that exists where Iris West is killed off. What we do want to focus on a little bit in this particular article is how the upcoming January 24 winter premiere is going to give viewers a potential shakeup at STAR Labs: There’s a chance that Julian Albert could work more alongside the team!
Yesterday, The CW revealed the official synopsis for “Borrowing Problems from the Future,” which you can see in full below:
“Barry (Grant Gustin) is tormented by his vision of the future where Iris (Candice Patton) is murdered by Savitar. When a criminal named Plunder (guest star Stephen Huszar) shows up in Central City, Barry recalls the villain’s presence in his vision of the future and fears that if he catches Plunder, it will cement Iris’ fate. Confused about Barry’s hesitation to stop Plunder, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) decides to step in as Kid Flash. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) offers Julian (Tom Felton) a job.”
Given everything that Julian’s gone through because of Savitar, including becoming Doctor Alchemy, it makes sense to have him around. He’s got an understanding of metahumans like no other, and it may do him some good to have people monitoring his behavior just in case something goes awry. While Savitar does seem dispatched for the time being, it’s only fair that you wonder precisely how long that’s going last? Barry still knows that he exists somewhere, and that dangling carrot will be tough to ignore. Also, you have to think that it’s possible that he could, somehow, end up finding his way back. It’s a huge multiverse, and there are inevitably many other speedsters out there.
