‘Girl Meets World’ season 3: Time change confirmed in ‘World Meets Girl’ promo

Girl Meets World -

Just in case you were wondering as to whether or not “Girl Meets World” was going to be holding true to airing earlier in the night for the remainder of the third season, we do have an answer for you: The time change is looking more and more like a permanent thing.

The video below offers up your first look at “World Meets Girl,” and both it and the final episodes of this season are going to moving a couple of hours earlier in the evening. As for why in the world the show is airing before 7:00 p.m. Eastern, this seems to be a move meant to try to bring the shows back to what the Disney Channel was doing many years ago. Airing earlier in the night reduces competition among scripted shows, and it also helps to further guarantee that you don’t have kids getting ready for bed or something else when the show is on.

We’re not sure that this timeslot would work nearly as well during the summer, but given that it’s winter and most families are going to be inside, maybe some Disney bigwig thinks that airing the show earlier will help. If the move succeeds and it ends up getting the show a season 4, we will absolutely not complain about it at all.

As for the promo below, it mainly serves as a means to tell you what the purpose of this episode is: A chance to celebrate all things “Girl Meets World” with the people responsible for making the show happen: The fans. You’ll see some of them getting to be on the set, and one particular part of this will give you a sense of how popular it is all over the world. The funny there is that this video seems like one extended fan video to renew the show, so it’s going to be pretty depressing if they decide to get rid of the show after this.
