Could ‘Bones’ live on after season 12? Show exec things it’s possible; here’s our idea
Speaking to TVLine, show executive producer Michael Peterson didn’t exactly confirm that the show would be coming back, but he made it clear that he is certainly very open to the idea:
“I absolutely am not considering this the end … I am in full-on denial. I’ve been working on the show for eight-and-a-half years. It is my family. I adore it here. I don’t want to leave. And the idea of having some kind of reunion in a year or two… I would not rule it out.
“We haven’t figured out what we’re going to do if it does come back … But I can tell you that 99.9999 percent of the people here would rush to return.”
If we were to chime in here with our own hope for the future of “Bones,” it would be to do something relatively similar to a “Sherlock” and come back every two or three years with a new back of episodes. Instead of three 90-minute “Sherlock” installments, what we’d do here is have maybe eight standard episodes of “Bones” that could air over the summer. That way, there’d be lower expectations for ratings, and it may not conflict with some other commitments that the cast may have.
The premiere of “Bones” is going to be coming your way on Tuesday, and rest assured, you’re going to have a chance to check out a wide array of content throughout the final season just by heading over to the link here!
For now, just let us know in the comments if there is anything in particular that you would like to see from the final season of the show. (Photo: Fox.)

I want to see intern Finn Abernathy make a final appearance in the final season. I also want to see Cam’s adopted daughter, Michelle, to also make an appearance as well. I want to see Sweet’s and Daisy’s baby be shown in the final season.
